This was my final thesis project as partial completion of my Master’s degree in Visual Effects at SCAD. As memories of the past fade and are often lost to time or disaster, it is important to preserve those recollections in some form or fashion. My thesis was centered around the topic of using visual effects techniques and cinematic language to recreate and reimagine memories. Inspired by personal childhood memories of a place that no longer exists, I created a short film exploring sweet nostalgic moments of a young girl as she spends a warm summer afternoon playing in her grandparents’ garden.
